Oronite works with over 30 industry associations around the world to ensure that we remain at the forefront of our industry.
More vehicles on the road are equipped with exhaust after-treatment devices, and with higher fuel costs, fuel economy is increasingly important. Lubricants and additives are expected to protect the engine better and for longer periods, not hurt exhaust after-treatment devices, and improve fuel economy.
We use Modeling techniques to save development time and get new products to market more quickly and minimizes engine test costs. This results in formulations that maximize engine durability and at the same time not harming exhaust aftertreatment. This work resulted in a CJ-4 product that passed all engine tests the first time.
The future of fuel additives is to go beyond removing and preventing harmful deposits to help achieve better performance from gasoline or diesel fuel. Oronite offers additives that can protect the entire fuel system, by protecting metal components susceptible to sulfur and rust corrosion to the elimination of harmful inorganic contaminants in the fuel system.
We have also created new additive technologies that change what gasoline can do. Recent changes in the diesel fuel market such as the move to ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) and the introduction of biodiesel fuel and biodiesel blends are creating an even greater need for fuel additives to prevent damage to sensitive fuel system components or fouling of injectors.
