1 min read | june 02, 2022

The Human Rights Campaign is commending Chevron for our commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace for a consecutive 17th year. We received a 100% rating on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the premier benchmarking tool on corporate policies, practices, and benefits for LGBTQ+ employees.

for the record

In 1993, Chevron became the first major U.S. oil and gas company to include sexual orientation in equal employment opportunity (EEO) policies. We were also the first to offer domestic partner benefits and, most recently, fully inclusive transgender wellness benefits.

On the 2022 CEI, we scored the maximum number of points in Workforce Protections, Inclusive Benefits, and Supporting an Inclusive Culture and Corporate Social Responsibility.
