Marissa Badenhorst
Vice President, Health, Safety and Environment
Marissa Badenhorst, 48, is vice president, Health, Safety and Environment, for Chevron Corporation, commencing the position in 2022. She is responsible for leading the company’s Health, Safety and Environment management, including audit and assurance and emergency response.
Previously Badenhorst was general manager, Enterprise Process Safety, responsible for driving process safety management across the company. Prior to that, she was technical manager for Chevron Australia, leading project management and technical support for the business unit’s onshore, subsea and pipelines.
Badenhorst began her career with Chevron in 2000 as a chemical engineer at the Cape Town Refinery and has held various engineering and operations management positions in Australia, South Africa, and Mississippi and Texas in the United States.
A native of South Africa, she graduated from the University of Pretoria with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
