Molly T. Laegeler
Vice President, Strategy & Sustainability
Molly T. Laegeler, 46, is vice president, Strategy & Sustainability, for Chevron Corporation, a role she assumed in October 2023. In this role, she is responsible for guiding development of the company’s key strategies, including capital allocation and sustainability efforts.
Previously, Laegeler served as vice president of Chevron North America Exploration & Production Company’s San Joaquin Valley business unit where she oversaw Chevron’s oil and gas production business in California. Prior to that, she was general manager of asset development for Chevron’s Mid-Continent business unit (MCBU).
Laegeler joined Chevron in 2005 as a petroleum engineer in Houston. Since then, she has held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility, including as a petroleum engineer supporting the exploration and production of Chevron’s deepwater assets in the Gulf of Mexico and western Africa, as general manager of strategy and planning for Chevron Indonesia, and as MCBU operations area manager for the Midland Basin.
She is a member of the Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Strategic Advisory Committee, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Laegeler earned a bachelor of science in petroleum engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2000 and a master’s in business administration from Tulane University in 2006.
