We are committed to investing in communities across Central California by giving time and resources to support local organizations that make our community a better place to live and work. Here are a few highlights of our recent work in the community.

winter storm donations

In January 2023, winter storms caused widespread destruction and hardship for many San Ardo and Monterey County residents and their families. We donated $70,000 to the Food Bank for Monterey County who distributed water, hot meals, and other essential items to help community members in need.

In 2022, we partnered with the Fresno County Superintendent of School’s Office and Mendota Unified School District to distribute 300 soccer kits to students at three area elementary schools.

CAPK food bank drive

As part of the Chevron XYZ Employee Network’s food drive, our Wells Team worked with CAPK Food Bank to collect enough food to help stock many families’ kitchens. We even created a festive display to help inspire others to donate.

bakersfield memorial hospital

As part of the Children’s Miracle Network Day of Giving, we donated $25,000 to help purchase pediatric equipment at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.

city of coalinga christmas present event

With the help of local organizations like Chevron, the City of Coalinga was able to provide books, clothing, toys and bicycles for local children in need during the holiday season.

lost hills community toy distribution

Chevron donated toys to the Lost Hills Unified School District which were distributed to local families in the community, helping spread some needed holiday cheer. We also helped hand out food baskets.

operation santa claus

Santa Claus “flew” into King City to help hand out gifts and meal kits to 500 families at the second annual Operation Santa Claus. The event was created by Monterey County Supervisor Chris Lopez, California Water Service and Fort Hunter Liggett, and supported by Chevron, among a number of other organizations.

thanksgiving meal distribution

Chevron supported the Bakersfield North Rotary’s Thanksgiving food basket giveaway to support families whose children attend Standard and Beardsley School Districts and North High School.
